New Building Update - December
Arlington Local School District - New Building Update – December 18, 2023
The week of December 11–15 began the soil borings on the school property where the new building
will go. The borings will give a good indication of the soil that is present in the ground and if that soil will
be conducive to our new building and will determine if we will need to do some soil upgrades to make
sure the building has a strong foundation.
CTL Engineering will be on the property doing the borings.
Fanning/Howey (our architect) and Robertson Construction (our construction manager) continue to
reconcile the financials so that we know where we are on the cost of the building. We are hopeful to be
on budget or under budget but increasing construction costs, materials costs, and delivery costs make
staying on or under budget very challenging.
We are hopeful to have another set of community meetings in late January to share the building elevation
updates and renderings of the building.
