Treat Yourself

By: Brianna Heyman

For those of us that don’t have Valentine's this year, let’s just take a moment to admit that February 14th is just another ordinary day. It’s not like chocolates and flowers aren’t available on the other 364 days of the year.

So on this Valentine’s Day, I propose that we spoil ourselves in these moneyless ways:

  1. Do some stress relief yoga
  2. Cuddle up on your couch with a blanket and read a book
  3. Unplug from all of your devices
  4. Volunteer somewhere
  5. Visit some family members
  6. Have a movie day/night with friends
  7. Make some comfort food at home
  8. Binge watch your favorite show on Netflix
  9. Spend the night with all of your pals and get some much needed gossip in
  10. Play your favorite video game
  11. Bake some brownies or cake and share it with yourself

These are all things that I believe are more beneficial then sulking over being single. I hope they can be of use to you!

It is hard to believe but the time has arrived for our 1923 Arlington School Building to be taken down.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to take down the building.

The demolition of the building will begin on Monday, June 22.  Crews will work extended hours to get the building down in a short two-week period rather than a longer two-month period.

For those interested, outside of the construction fence, there will be a pile of bricks where you are welcome to take a souvenir brick.  Bricks will only be available for two weeks and will then be cleaned up.

Please mark August 1st at 10:00 am on your calendar for our dedication to the new building.
