Thank You For Your Service

This past Friday,  Arlington’s high school students had the privilege of putting on the Veteran’s Day assembly. We are thankful that so many of them volunteered their time to take part in this day.

 On behalf of the staff and students, I would like to thank everyone who was a part of the Veteran’s Day Assembly; those who helped put on the breakfast for veterans; and most of all, the veterans who showed up today to see what our students had to offer.

 Today was a day to show thanks for the veterans who have put their lives on the line for our country. Without them, we would not have the freedoms that are available to us today. On behalf of Arlington High School, thank you so much for your service. Thank you for displaying the courage that not many people in our country have.

Thank you to the students, who put in the effort to make today run smoothly. Today would not have been possible without you all!

 Thank you Mr. Beck and Alyssa Bushong for the welcoming and closing; Boy Scout Troop 318 for the posting of the colors and the retiring of the colors; Gabriella Matthews for saying the Pledge; the High School Choir for the National Anthem and singing “I am Thankful to be an American”; Brianna Heyman for reading a letter home from a veteran; Makenna Foust and Peyton Rettig for reading letters to veterans; Collin Frazier for his veteran interview; Anna Edmiston for the reunion video; Adelyn Lafferty for the history of Taps; and Jessica Haught and Alyssa Jordan for the playing of Taps.
