Senior of the Month: April

By: Makenna Zehender

What do her teachers have to say?

She always gives 100% towards the task at hand. She researched projects thoroughly before slapping things together and she will always ask questions when she needs further clarification on a topic. She is a pleasure to have in class. I wish that all students took their studies as seriously as she does.

She is a focused young lady who works hard to succeed. Her love of sports and her intellect will make her a great physical therapist.

She works really hard and cares about doing the right thing! She is a lot of fun and has a great sense of humor.

She is a precise and calculating person who prepares herself well in advance to make sure she is ready and then takes it on with poise and clarity.

IT’S ALYSSA JORDAN!

With Alyssa being the Senior of the Month, we decided to interview her:

What are some of your most memorable moments in your years at Arlington?

A: One of my most memorable moments from high school was getting to go to France in 2016. It was so interesting to be in another country and experience the different culture.  Saint-Malo was my favorite place we got to visit.

What are you most excited for your senior year?

A: I’m most excited for senior prom and I can’t wait to see everyone’s dresses. I can’t wait  to spend my last prom with people I love and care about.

How has your family impacted your high school career?

A: My family has heavily influenced my work ethic. They have pushed me to do well so I can have the best opportunities possible. They have supported me in my academics and my extracurricular activities and I know that without them, I would not have been successful in school. My brother has also given me a lot of advice about how to get through the rest of high school and get ready for college, which has helped me significantly.

What will you miss the most about Arlington?

A: I will miss the coziness and safety of a small town. Most of my family still lives here and it will be a little hard not being able to see them constantly after leaving for college.

Where would you like to attend college and what is your intended major?

A: I will be attending the University of Toledo majoring in exercise science and obtaining a doctorate in physical therapy.

If you were to win the scholarship at the end of the year what would you use the money for?

A: If I win the scholarship, I would put it towards my books for college.
