Meet the Teacher: Mrs. Griffin

By: Anna Edmiston

This year, we have a slew of new teachers. Because of this, I thought it would be important to let all of you have a chance to meet them all with this new series of articles. These articles will include a little bit of information about the teacher as well as the answers to a set of questions posed by me to the teachers. Also, to make the articles more fun, I am taking intentionally bad photos of all the teachers. I hope you enjoy this peek into their lives.

For the fourth installment of this series, we are learning about the new music teacher for the whole school. Mrs. Griffin has joined the staff this year after teaching at Spencerville. She graduated from Vanlue and attended Mount Vernon Nazarene University as an instrumental music major. She has gone back to school multiple times, all for choral education. She has two children. Her son, Jonathan, is 28 and a captain in the US Air Force. After graduating from Spencerville, he attended The United States Military Academy. Her daughter, Elizabeth, is 22 and is attending University of Findlay for Early Childhood Education after graduating from Spencerville, as well. In her free-time, she enjoys making crafts, reading and being involved in many other musical endeavours.
