This year’s “Ag is Cool” competition has come to a close and it crowned some familiar faces victorious. Four Arlington students were invited to the Ohio State Fair to present their winning art pieces to a crowd of people that included Governor John Kasich. These four students were Joseph Leisure, Lance Mahler, Kylee Geissinger and Cayne Essinger. Cayne received the Director’s Choice and the other three had won in their age division. Kylee won for painting while Lance and Joseph won for drawings. They were chosen out of a group of 104, a record number of students for this competition. We are all very proud of these students and their representation of our school in such a cool opportunity.

It is hard to believe but the time has arrived for our 1923 Arlington School Building to be taken down.
We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to take down the building.
The demolition of the building will begin on Monday, June 22. Crews will work extended hours to get the building down in a short two-week period rather than a longer two-month period.
For those interested, outside of the construction fence, there will be a pile of bricks where you are welcome to take a souvenir brick. Bricks will only be available for two weeks and will then be cleaned up.
Please mark August 1st at 10:00 am on your calendar for our dedication to the new building.
