Congratulations to our April Senior of the Month, Emily Morehart!
Here’s what some of our staff have to say about her:
- “Emily has been a joy to have in class this year. She is a polite, engaged, hardworking student. Some students are vocal leaders, and others lead quietly by example. Emily is an example of a quiet but effective leader in my opinion. She is the type of student that teachers can rely on to do the right thing and make good decisions. She is also willing to step up and help when asked. This has been demonstrated this year through Emily’s hard work as a member of the Gaming Geeks. She has assisted with contacting businesses, putting together fliers, and presenting to the School Board. Emily’s involvement in her Leadership Team and her ability to lead by example make her very deserving of the recognition as our April Student of the Month.”
- “I have enjoyed having Emily as a student! I have been able to get to know her for several years now and, this year, she has really come out of her shell. I appreciate her points of view and what she shares in class. She has worked hard and always gives her best! Emily is determined and will do great at UF!”
- “Emily is an outstanding art student who exemplifies high character, responsibility and is a conscientious student. She always takes pride in her work and is helpful and friendly. I appreciate Emily's drive to achieve excellence! She will be missed in the art room and I wish her all the best in her future endeavors!”
- “Emily comes into the kitchen to help every morning with a smile and is ready to do any task we have for her. Her sense of humor brightens our day. We've never heard a grumble or an unkind word from her. She is hardworking and diligent in every area in which we've observed her.”
Let’s get to know Emily better!
We asked her some questions to get to know her better!
What is your biggest pet peeve? Why is that?
My biggest pet peeve is when people spit when they talk. Someone did that as I was trying to think of what my pet peeve is!
How many tennis balls can you fit into a limousine? How did you manage to do that?
A solid 60,000 tennis balls! I'll not only put them inside the car, but also in the glove compartments, the gas tank, and engine!
What are you interested in and why?
I'm very interested in photography. It was a huge stress relief during the pandemic and I enjoy spending time outside watching the wildlife.
If you were to be an animal, what would you want to be? Why?
If I were to be an animal I think I'd choose to be a housecat. I'd choose this because I would be given food, water, and a home, and I wouldn't have to worry about living outdoors.
If you had to choose between having the ability to be invisible or the ability to fly, which one would you choose and why?
If I had to choose between being able to be invisible or fly I'd choose being able to fly. I wouldn't have to worry about gas money that way!
