Book Recommendations

Do you enjoy reading? Are you out of books to read? Well if so you’re in luck! Here are some book recommendations for different genres that you may be interested in!



Fantasy: 

  • Folk of the Air Trilogy 

-Twin mortal girls find their way into the world of the fae at a young age. They grow up in this strange world, soon feeling that it is all they know. As they get older they struggle with feeling like they belong and try to find their places among the fae. 

 

  • Vampire Academy 

-After a tragic series of events, best friends Lissa and Rose run away from their home, the Academy. The academy is for the Moroi and dhampirs who are types of vampires, and it is meant to keep them separate and safe from humans. After being found and brought back to the academy, Rose and Lissa fight to learn about their unique abilities.

 

  • 5th Wave 

-This book follows a teen girl named Cassie as she navigates the world as it turns into an apocalyptic wasteland. Aliens have invaded and she has to adapt to survive. 



Thriller:

 

  • The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo

 

-Harriet is a wealthy inheritant from Sweden who disappeared over 40 years ago. Her Uncle decides to figure out the truth about what happened to her. With the help of a journalist and a punk prodigy as they do some dangerous digging. 

 

  • End of Watch 

Brady Hartsfield is in a seemingly vegetative state after killing 8 people in his Mercedes. While unbeknownst to others he is fully aware and after being injected with experimental drugs he has new powers. This allows him to wreak havoc without anyone being the wiser.  

 

Historical fiction:

  • Memoirs of a Geisha 

-A young girl gets sold to a geisha house by her father. She is then raised there and tends to the house Geisha’s until she's old enough to become one herself. 

 

Dystopian: 

 

  • Wilder Girls 

 

-On a remote island off the coast of Maine a mysterious virus broke out. The Raxter school for girls was put under quarantine. They struggle trying to survive, stay hopeful and care for each other. With no assurance of help or progress things start to become weirder and weirder. 

 

 

  • Hunger Games

 

-The world is separated into 12 different sections AKA districts. Every year they are chosen at random against their will to go and fight in an arena. 

 

 

  • Maze Runner

 

-The world ended in a nuclear disaster. Teenagers start waking up in a large enclosure with little to no memories of their previous lives. The only method of escape is a maze that is seemingly impossible to navigate.
