The Importance of Spirit Week

Since we have these two spirit weeks in a row, it is good to talk about why they’re such an important part of school. Spirit weeks don’t only encourage school spirit amongst students, they also help get people to school. Getting dressed in ways outside of the normal dress code gives students a new outlook and environment. Unlike their normal dress, they get to wear hats, sunglasses, comfy pajamas, or silly costumes. Not only are they fun for students, but they can be for good causes too. The “Bring the Change” spirit week happening from February 13th to February 17th is a spirit week that’s bringing in change for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The grade that brings in the most change not only helps out a good cause, but that grade gets free donuts! Along with that, the FFA spirit week is from February 21st through the 24th, they’re selling candy bars and chocolate covered pretzels too so buy up! With all this said, participate in upcoming spirit weeks, you won’t regret it!
