Three New Teachers

By: Lonell Howard

This year, Arlington has gained three new teachers and we thought you’d like to take the opportunity to get to know them. Ms. Reinhart is our new PE and Health teacher, Mrs. Inbody is an English teacher, and Ms. Dillon is a Spanish facilitator.

Ms. Reinhart:

  • Tell me a little about yourself

I am new this year to Arlington and I am excited to be here! My favorite food is ice cream. My favorite color is red. A fun fact is that I have a twin sister.

  • What made you become a teacher?

I have many teachers in my family. After watching them and helping them when I was younger made me push to become a teacher. I decided to go into Health and PE because I have a love of sports, fitness, and health.

  • What’s the best part about teaching this job?

I enjoy getting to be active most of the day. I also enjoy teaching my students how to lead healthy, active lives.

  • Recall a time that you felt like you had a positive impact on a student?

It is not just one student but I enjoy it when I see my students become engaged in class. The best is when I have students come up to me throughout the school year and tell me something active/healthy they did.

  • What is one thing you want your students to remember about you?

I would like them to remember that I am always someone they can rely on and will hopefully enjoy having as a teacher.

Mrs. Inbody:

  • Tell me a little about yourself

I am a 2004 graduate of Arlington High School. I graduated from the University of Findlay with a degree in communication/public relations and worked at the Chamber of Commerce before going back to school to earn my teaching license. I taught at Van Buren High School for 9 years before coming to Arlington. I have 3 children (Twins: Ethan and Arden (5), Avery (2)) and I am expecting a 4th at the end of October! My husband, Mr. Inbody, and I were high school sweethearts. I enjoy running, being outside, and spending time with my family.

  • What made you become a teacher?

I began coaching volleyball right out of high school. I love the sport but I also learned that I really enjoyed working with high schoolers. I also love reading and writing so it made sense to pursue teaching as a career.

  • What’s the best part about this job?

The students. I really enjoy getting to know the students and supporting them in and out of the classroom. I also really love teaching English and helping students express themselves through their writing.

  • Recall a time that you felt like you had a positive impact on a student?

I’ve had many students ask me to help them with their scholarship and/or college entrance essays. It is rewarding when a student is granted the scholarship or accepted at their school of choice because of the hard work they put in to qualify for that recognition. I also think students just appreciate the support provided outside the classroom such as attending sporting events or performances which I plan to do a lot of now that I am at Arlington!

  • What is one thing you want your students to remember about you?

That I care about them!

Ms. Dillon:

  • Tell me a little about yourself

Hi! My name’s Haley Frances Dillon, and I graduated from Arlington back in 2016. Last spring I graduated from OSU after studying Linguistics, Andean & Amazonian Studies, and French. In my spare time, I like to garden, go hiking and camping, and cook new foods!

  • What made you become a teacher?

Even in high school, I knew I wanted my job to be about helping others improve their lives. Since I’m naturally patient, love learning languages, and am motivated by other’s growth, I realized being a teacher would be a great fit for me!

  • What’s the best part about teaching this job?

I love to see students excited about learning something new or telling me about using Spanish outside the classroom.

  • Recall a time that you felt like you had a positive impact on a student?

I’m still starting out, but I feel like I’ve boosted the confidence of several students by not harshly judging their pronunciation, but encouraging them instead!

  • What is one thing you want your students to remember about you?

I hope my students remember my positivity, even when the material is tricky or things don’t go as planned.
