Craig Durliat
Title: Board of Education President
All About Me! In 1987, I graduated from Van Buren High School and went on to Ohio Northern University for College. I graduated from ONU in 1991 with a Bachelors degree in accounting and mathematics to teach K-12 in math. As a result of my diligence, I am a certified public accountant. From there, I attended the University of Findlay for my MBA, leading me to graduate in 2001.
When I was beginning my career, I was employed at E.S. Evans CPA's and Pry CPA Services. My work journey continued when I was hired at Cooper Tire & Rubber Company, where I led in many areas for accounting, finance, and marketing. I retired in 2024 after 30 years with Cooper.
My motivation for my continued service to the community is rooted with the gifts that God provided me to support the children, teachers, and administration of the Arlington Local School District. With my position on the Board of Education, I hope that our team of elected volunteers will work to continuously improve upon the greatness that was established before us. 2026 will be my 15th year elected to the Board of Education.
As for my personal life, I have been married to my lovely wife Denise for 31 years. We have raised our four children together - Zachary, Amber, Emily, and Leah - within this close-knit community. Arlington has provided my family and I with a safe, kind, and ambitious life that has allowed all of us to individually flourish and succeed. Red Pride is the definition of Arlington, not only as a town, but as a school. AHS has endlessly provided their students with life-long experiences despite its smaller size. Along with memories that'll stick to you, AHS has proved a multitude of times that our students are prepared for the future by educating them to be the best they can be by learning everyday, by competing everyday, by leading everyday, by picking others up everyday, by knowing you will be picked up by others when it need it, and ALWAYS being proud of having been part of Arlington School.
Outside of my position as President of the Board of Education, I have been an active member of Saint Paul's Lutheran Church in Jenera since 2000. Over the past 20 years, I have also been involved in coaching baseball, softball, soccer, and basketball.
"Red PRIDE!"

All About Me! I graduated from Arlington Local Schools in 1998. In 2002 I graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Agricultural Construction Systems Management with a Minor in Business. Since 2013 I have worked for Marathon Petroleum Corporation as a Lead Facilities Construction Specialist.
I am currently in my 5th year on the Arlington BOE. I have enjoyed being on the construction committee for our new PK-12 School Building. This project will change Arlington for many generations to come. Community support is very important to me. I was taught to make your community and surroundings better than how you found it. Continued success to the Arlington Schools, current and future students is the main reason I wanted to be part of the BOE. These past few years working on these large projects have been very rewarding. I have great respect for the pride and tradition of this community and school system. I will continue to support these traditions along with the staff and students so they can get the most out of their experience at Arlington.
My wife Rachelle and I will celebrate 23 years of marriage this October. We have 2 children, Harrison class of 2025 and Madeline, class of 2027. Madeline will be part of the first class in the new school building! I also have 2 nieces that attend Arlington (and a nephew in a few years). I am excited to see them grow up in the new school and look forward to attending many events. I am also a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church. As a family we enjoy traveling to Europe, camping with family and friends and Ohio State Football. I am also a local farmer.
I am proud to carry on the tradition of family members at Arlington Local Schools. Harrison and Madeline represent the 4th generation of Hartman’s to graduate from Arlington.
Go Devils!

All About Me! I graduated from Rittman High School in 2006. In 2009, I graduated from Marietta College with my Bachelors in International Business Management, and Toledo University in 2011 with my Masters in Public Administration.
In my personal career, I’m a Donor Engagement Officer at the Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation and have been in this current role for 3 years.
I am currently serving my 6th year on the BOE, and I do not hold an official title. I initially joined the Board to help pass a levy. After successfully passing the levy, I now stay on it because I believe a young mom of kids in the district is a very important voice on the Board. With my position on the Board, I hope to get our new school up and running!
My husband Austin and I will celebrate 15 years of marriage this October. We have 5 children. Malachi and Aliza are twins and they are 13, Selah is 12, Lydia is 10, and Joanna is 8. I love the small town, family feel of Arlington. Once we got integrated into the district, we learned that our kids are truly seen here. Teachers, staff, other families all know them and look out for them… that’s something really special. The Arlington community means a sense of belonging. I love the culture and the way the whole student is educated: it’s not just about grades, it’s about producing good well-rounded citizens that make a difference in the world!
I am an active member of Gateway Church. I coach just about every youth sport you can imagine! :)

All About Me! I was raised in the state up North… not allowed to say the name. I graduated from Algonac High School in Michigan in 1975 — another AHS! However, I did not attend college. My sister and I owned a dance studio, and I continued teaching dance after moving to Arlington.
I owned a dance studio in Arlington from 1981 to 1998. I also worked for the school district for 25 years as the Superintendent/EMIS Secretary, retiring in 2019.
I am beginning my fifth year as a member the Board of Education. I ran for the board to continue the work on the new school building and to help plan for the future of education in our district. I want to see the completion of the new school and athletic fields. I’m committed to moving forward with our Strategic Plan to ensure the district remains financially strong for the next 100 years. I also look forward to working with the Arlington School Foundation to support long‑term planning for Arlington Local Schools.
When I moved to Arlington — where my husband grew up and graduated in 1966 — I quickly became involved in community groups. I helped with the band parents, supported the choir, and was part of the effort to build the pool we have today. I love Arlington’s strong sense of community and the way people support one another. My husband and I have been married for 48 years. We have three children — Philip, Michael, and Alicia — and six grandchildren, three of whom attend Arlington.
Arlington is all about Red Pride! I love being part of a community where people care deeply about one another, and I enjoy finding ways to be helpful and involved.
I’m involved with Arlington Heart and Soul and enjoy supporting community initiatives. Now that I’m retired, we also spend a lot of time cheering on our grandchildren in their sports activities.

All About Me! I graduated from New London High School in 2003. From there, I have attended 3 Colleges or Universities and have graduated from each - Hocking College in 2006, Bowling Green State University in 2008 and The Ohio State University in 2018.
Since 2013 I have worked for the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, Division of Parks & Watercraft as a Capital Improvement Administrator. I also work for Sea Breeze Charters on the weekends during the summers months. I have been a captain with Sea Breeze for over 20 years.
This is my first year on the Board. Arlington is a great community with a lot of exciting things happening, I ran to be part of the excitement and to hopefully add to the progress already made. My only goal with my new position is to help Arlington continue improving and growing each year.
My wife Laura and I have been married since 2008, we have two daughters Alayna and Alivia who each attend Arlington Local School. What I like best about Arlington is the people who call it home. While I am not a native of Arlington, I have always felt welcomed and a part of the community. My family and I were attracted to Arlington because my wife was from the area and it was a central location from both our employers. To me Arlington means family, when we moved here everyone welcomed us in like we were one of their own. I am proud to call Arlington home.
I attend Bible Fellowship Church and enjoy spending time outdoors with family and friends.
