Meet the Assistant Treasurer

  • Tell me about yourself.

 “My name is Kendra Chapman. I grew up and still live in Allen East School District. I was raised on a farm with sheep, rabbits, chickens, and turkeys and growing up, I helped my family with chores and working in the fields. I played 3 sports in high school - basketball, softball, and volleyball, and played basketball in college. I have been married to my husband Matt for 15 years, and we have 2 children - Jaden, a junior who cheers varsity and competitive cheer at Allen East, and Dylan, a 7th grader who plays basketball and baseball at Allen East. I love to play and watch sports and am an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, San Francisco 49ers, Boston Red Sox, and Cleveland Cavaliers.” 

  • What brought you to Arlington?

“I came to Arlington from Waynesfield School District, where I had been the Assistant Treasurer there for 2 years. I heard about this opening and felt that Arlington was a better fit for me.”

  • Can you tell me a little bit about your job?

“My main job is to do payroll and keep all of the employees paid here at Arlington. I also do the Board Meetings minutes, keep track of personnel changes, handle all of the new hire paperwork, inventory, fundraising, balancing reports, and all accounts receivable processes.”

  • Why did you choose this career?

“I chose this career because I have always loved Math and working with numbers”

  • What’s your favorite part about your career?

“My favorite part of this career is working with numbers and making sure they balance and that everything comes out correctly. It is rewarding to me to see my hard work come full circle. I also love the staff here at Arlington. Everyone here is so friendly and I love the environment here.”
