Dear Parents/Guardians/Caregivers,

Arlington Local School has collaborated as a staff to offer options to meet your needs in preparation for returning to school this fall. As of now, we are planning on returning to the building under the most normal circumstances we can provide in adherence to the Hancock County/Findlay City Schools Common Reopening Agreement; however, we are also offering an Opt-in Virtual Model for those who have concerns about exposure to COVID-19. If you choose the Opt-in Virtual Learning Model, your students will receive instruction from teachers employed by the Arlington Local School district and not a 3rd party vendor. We feel confident that our staff can provide the best instruction to your children.

If you choose the Opt-in Virtual Learning Model, your child/children will still be required to be available for normal school hours Monday through Friday to receive their instruction.

Be aware that choosing the Opt-in Virtual Learning Model is not the same as remote learning. Remote learning will be mandated by a "Red" county level; whereas, the Opt-in Virtual Learning Model is an individual family decision regardless of the county's color level. By choosing the Opt-in Virtual Learning Model, you are selecting that method of instruction for at least the first nine weeks regardless of county color changes.

BUSING for Hybrid Attendance Model (County on Orange) - available for K-8 bus eligible students ONLY. High School students (9-12) will NOT be bused in the Hybrid Model.

K-8 bus eligible families must opt-in to busing for the hybrid model for the 2020-21 school year. As you opt-in, please understand that with the COVID-19 restrictions, we will NOT be able to transport students to alternate stops on different days as has been the practice in previous years. Students will be picked up and dropped off at the same location everyday they ride the bus. We realize that this may be a challenge for some families; however, we must be able to identify where each bus rider gets on and off the bus everyday. Masks will be required of EVERY individual who rides the bus. Per the Hancock Public Health Department, students will be assigned a seat on the bus and the bus will be loaded from back to front regardless of student age. This means younger elementary students may end up in the back of the bus mixed in with older students.

If you have multiple children enrolled in the district, please respond for each child so we have a record of all of your responses.
