Race For The Cure

By: Abbie Sheets

We all associate October with pumpkins, Halloween, sweaters, and cool weather, but it also stands for something else important: Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It is a thirty-one day month where people can raise awareness for breast cancer.

One way people celebrate, is The Race For The Cure. Every year, communities around the world get together and acknowledge the world of breast cancer. It is the largest fundraising event for the cause around the globe. The event includes a 5k run, fitness walks, and a plethora of activities to help honor those who survived, and remember those who have not.

The Race is scheduled for Saturday, September 29th at the Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay on Main Street. Registration begins at 7:00 a.m, with the race starting at 9:00 a.m.

Here are the events planned for that day:

   7:00 a.m- Team Tailgate Begins
