 November Senior of the Month

Cami Settlage

Family
Cami is the daughter of Dan and Kelly Settlage. She has one younger sister, Allie. Her favorite family tradition is going on vacation each summer. South Carolina is at the top of her list. When looking back on her childhood, she loved making pizzas with her grandma while listening to the radio. It could be 10 in the morning and she would still beg her grandma to make pizzas!

Cami’s role model is the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…
“He has been watching over and guiding me all my life, and for that I am pretty grateful and look up to Him!”

Extracurricular Activities and Volunteering
Cami is a three-sport athlete competing in volleyball, basketball, and track. She also participated in football cheer. In addition to these activities, she is a member of Student Council, Media Writing, Choir, Marching Band, Pep Band, Loud Crowd, and FCA. Cami is also a
favorite in the office as she is an office helper. She has volunteered at Vacation Bible School, making cakes for the NHS cake raffles, and painting and hanging fence signs for fall sports.

Enjoyment and the Future….
In her free time, Cami can be found hanging out with her family, friends, and her second family, the Essingers. She also likes to rock out to the music of Jason Derulo and Bruno Mars. When she is driving with Madi Russell, things can get pretty intense to the point of screaming the lyrics.
Her favorite high school memories have included all the homecoming and prom dances. Cami loves to dress up, dance, and have a good time with her friends. She is looking forward to all the new memories she will create before her senior year is over. High school has been an amazing experience she will always cherish! Next fall, Cami plans to attend a 4-year university and pursue a medical related major. Congratulations and best wishes Cami!

What the staff has to say about Cami!

  • "Cami wears many hats at Arlington and excels at them all! She exhibits a strong work ethic and a positive attitude when taking on new challenges. What separates Cami from other students is her genuine kindness and contagious enthusiasm! Thank you for your leadership, Cami!"
  • "I am so thankful to have Cami in my classroom again! She is kind, positive, and mature beyond her years. She lights up the room with her fun attitude and ability to make anyone feel welcome. Congratulations! This honor is well-deserved!"
  • “Cami is a student who has stood out to me from the very beginning not only from her extensive list of activities and achievements, but from her ability to walk into any space and light up the room with her joyous spirit. To me, Cami is the perfect mix of a student who is determined and dedicated to anything set before her and she will complete anything with an easy-going attitude that keeps those around her at ease and laughing no matter the circumstances. She is an exceptional role model to our student body and I will be sad not to have her around next year!"
  • "Cami has been both a leader in the classroom and on the field for our All-Brass Marching Band and Varsity Cheerleading Squad. She always brightens the atmosphere with her infectious smile and fosters a positive environment for her teammates. Underclassmen always look up to her and she is always the source of motivation and encouragement for others around her. I cannot wait to see the places she will go! Congratulations Cami!”
